No reason. It is just that I am rewatching Firefly, and thinking -
I suspect there was a decent economists in there in the film crew. The economics side of the story is spotless. The explanantion of how robbing a hospital works out for everyone holds an implication of how Firefly crew and other borderlining criminals are shifting the dirigisme economy of Alliance towards more market-oriented equilibrium.
Add someone Douglas to Jayne Cobb, and i can recommend the whole series for undergraduates to study.
